View from space

Intense dark blue, green reflections, white sharp crystals. This is not without reminding us of views of Groenland or rivers taken from space: the blue is the river or the ocean that penetrates the inner land with fractal-like fingers. Mountains are covered with ice or icebergs are floating. Greenery from trees or from the bottom of the ocean.

The glaze of this stoneware surface was made to exhibit these variations only by tuning the thickness of the deposit. The blue areas were painted with less glaze while the green and whitish parts are very thick. They were applied with a pinsel so that they could easily diffuse at the surface.
